Vivek Agnihotri wrote the script of his own directed Hindi movie “The Tashkent Files”. The film is based on a real story which is about the death of the second Prime Minister of India. The death of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri is still mysterious and in this movie, the writer tried to uncover the hidden story.

Vivek Agnihotri tried to explain whether the second PM of India was assassinated or if he died a natural death. Naseeruddin Shah and Mithun Chakraborty, the two legends of Bollywood, played the lead roles in the movie.
